Guhring Carbide Thread Mills

Thread mills provide an alternative process for manufacturing threads where tapping may not be a viable solution. Difficult or hardened materials, extremely tight pitch diameter or dimensional tolerance, and very large diameter threads are all candidates for the thread milling process.

Guhring thread mills are manufactured from Guhring carbide rod, produced by our facility in Berlin, Germany for Guhring’s carbide tooling. Guhring’s R & D facilities have developed carbide grades specifically for the demands of high performance milling, which provides Guhring with a competitive advantage versus tooling manufacturers who purchase carbide rod from multiple sources.
